ZUSM Professor named AIMBE Fellows

On February 15the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE) announced its new members of the AIMBE College of Fellows in recognition of their distinguished and continuing achievements in medical and biological engineering, which include two professors from Zhejiang University School of Medicine, Prof. LI Lanjuan and Professor ZHENG Shusen.

 

Election to the AIMBE College of Fellows is among the highest professional distinctions accorded to a medical and biological engineer. The College of Fellows is comprised of the top two percent of medical and biological engineers. College membership honors those who have made outstanding contributions to “engineering and medicine research, practice, or education” and to “the pioneering of new and developing fields of technology, making major advancements in traditional fields of medical and biological engineering, or developing/implementing innovative approaches to bioengineering education.”

LI Lanjuan, MD, Chief Physician, Professor and Director, State Key Laboratory for Diagnosis and Treatment of Infectious Diseases, Zhejiang University to its College of Fellows. Dr. Li was nominated, reviewed, and elected by peers and members of the College of Fellows for pioneering contributions to diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases, liver failure, and infectious microecology.

 

(Professor ZHENG Shuseng)

ZHENG Shusen, MD, Ph.D., Professor and Chief Physician, The First Affiliated Hospital, School of Medicine, Zhejiang University to its College of Fellows. Dr. Zheng was nominated, reviewed, and elected by peers and members of the College of Fellows for pioneering contributions to organ transplantation and hepato-pancreato-biliary surgery.
