Shu-Min Duan

Shumin Duan graduated from Bengbu Medical College in China in 1982 and received his Ph. D. from Kyushu University in Japan in 1991. He received a postdoctoral training at University of Hawaii and University of California at San Francisco during 1997-1999. He worked as a principal investigator in Institute of Neuroscience in Shanghai, Chinese Academical Sciences from 2000 to 2009. His research interests focuses on synapses and the function and the mechanisms of neuron-glia interactions in health and disease. He has made a number of contributions in the field of glial cell studies, including the roles of glial cells in synaptic plasticity and mechanisms of signaling molecule release from glial cells. He is an academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences and a member of the Academy of Sciences for the Developing World (TWAS).  He is the president of Chinese Society for Neuroscience and a council member of International Brain Research Organization of Society for Neuroscience. He is the Editor-in-Chief of Neuroscience Bulletin, the official journal of Chinese Society for Neuroscience. He serves as an editorial board member in several international neuroscience journals, including Journal of Neurophysiology, Glia, Neurobiology of Disease, Hippocampus, Cell Calcium, and Plos One.

Qiao-Jun  He

Dr. Qiaojun He is the QiuShi Distinguished Professor of Zhejiang University. At present, he is the Director of Center for Drug Safety Evaluation and Research of Zhejiang University, the vice president of the Innovation Institute for Artificial Intelligence in Medicine of Zhejiang University, the vice president of Zhejiang University (Hangzhou) Institute of Innovative Medicine, and the Director of Zhejiang Province Key Laboratory of Anti-cancer Drug Research. He has focused on the research of oncology pharmacology, drug toxicology and innovative drug development. The researches were supported by the the State Key Program of National Natural Science of China, the joint project of National Natural Science of China, the National Major New Drug Creation Project, etc. Up to now, he has published 248 papers in academic journals including Cell Research, Blood, Autophagy, Cancer Research and so on, and have been cited more than 5,000 times. Besides, He has participated in editing 9 books, obtained 2 new drug certificates and 3 clinical approvals, authorized 61 national invention patents with one put into production, honored 18 provincial and ministerial awards, including the first prize of Natural Science Award of Zhejiang Province and the second prize of Natural Science Award of the Ministry of Education.
